Grace, Mercy, and Peace to all my Father’s children…

Welcome to Annual General Conference 2024, where our hearts converge, and our faith ignites.  As we gather in this sacred space, we anticipate divine encounters, fusing fellowship, and the stirring of our souls. “It’s Rapture Time”

“But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”—Matthew 24:37. Through these words, Jesus unveils a cosmic mystery—the rapture manifesto... Like Noah, who built an ark amidst scoffers, so we (the church) prepare our hearts for an imminent departure. Let us glean wisdom from these preparatory words.

1. Vigilance: Noah remained watchful, attuned to God’s whispers. Likewise, should we fix our gaze on the eastern horizon, awaiting the trumpet’s call. Our lamps trimmed, our spirits aflame, as we stand ready.

2. Separation/Holiness: “Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.” The rapture cleaves reality—a swift division. Fear not, for we are the chosen, the wheat gathered into His barn. Our tears shall turn to joy.

3. Hope: The fig tree’s tender leaves signal summer’s arrival. So do the signs herald His coming. Wars, famines, and cosmic tremors—they align with prophecy. Amidst chaos, our hope remains unshaken.

As we worship, learn, and break bread together, remember: we are the generation poised for His return. Let our voices rise in praise, echoing the prayer: “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” May Conference 2024 be an ignition where faith blooms, questions find answers, and our hearts unite.

General Superintendent

Jesus Christ

“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” ~ Matthew 24: 37-42

Grace and peace be unto you all from our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It is that time again that God has ordained for us to gather together in this divinely-appointed fashion for Annual General Conference 2024 under the theme, It’s Rapture Time. As the scripture rightly illustrates, it will be a day like any other day when Christ makes His return: the stock market will rise and fall as it always does, people will be marrying, giving in marriage, and carrying on with their daily lives, ignorant of the imminence of the return of Jesus Christ. With the wars and rumours of wars, the famine, and the degradation that permeates this day and age, it is certain that we are living at the verge of His return.

While we have a responsibility to continue to declare this great Gospel message, we must equally ensure to be ready for the great taking away, lest we preach to others and ourselves become cast away. The text gives a somber warning to the children of God: Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. In a time like this – a time when men’s hearts fail them and people have become lovers of themselves more than lovers of God, it is essential that we hear and heed the Spirit’s warning to look up – for our redemption

draweth nigh. May this Spirit of the living God touch the speakers divinely appointed to deliver His

Word, and may our souls give heed to the earnest pleading of the Holy Ghost that we refix our

attention and our affection to our ever-soon coming King.

Assistant General Superintendent

Church of Jesus Christ

Conference started in 2012 with A Word from a Distance when, at the prompting of Pastor Andrew S. Henry by the Holy Ghost, Elder Kevin Colquhoun (then newly-minted Pastor of the Wisdom & Life Church in Cambridge, Ontario) came to meet and minister to the brethren in the “Upper Room” on Montreal’s Gouin Blvd. At least two souls were baptized in the name of Jesus by the end of that service after hearing that I Am is a Jealous God. The following year saw The Abundance of Rain as we not only planned our first full three-day conference but also renovated and moved into our new storefront home days before the conference began.

From that first conference, we witnessed miraculous healings as well as spiritual healing and growth/maturity on an individual and congregational level as the 2014 conference speakers showed us through the imitable Word of God that we Possess the Power to Heal. After a year of healing came the Unity that Cultivates the Anointing, demonstrating practically how true church culture includes a place for whosoever will obey Jesus Christ. Why? Because Holiness Is Not a Rule; it’s a Lifestyle that any soul seeking isolation with the Creator of all things can live.

We were shaken to our core in the year of Apostolic Conception when Jesus asked again the question: Who do Men Say That I Am? The answer that came back forced us to our faces as we carefully considered our lives, our behaviours, and our religious practices in light of the unchanging Word of God. But being the compassionate and fair Father that He is, Jesus came to remind us that, despite the pain of enduring process of transformation, The Best is Yet to Come to all those who suffer with Christ and trade our dependence on what we think for what He says. The reassurance drove us to our knees for a year, cancelling everything so we could seek the face of Jesus Christ, even before the pandemic shut down all other gatherings.

After five years of reflection, repentance, revision, and renewal, we came back with our cups turned up, eagerly awaiting The Return of this Kingdom experience and, more importantly, the eminent return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. While there is much work to be done in these last hours, we keep one hand to the plow and the other holding up our emptied vessels, ready to hear from the Lord. We are ready for this Kingdom move and invite whosoever will to get ready and stay ready because it’s Rapture Time.
