Welcome

MESSAGE

Anticipation. Expectation. Palpable excitement.

There’s something to be said for the return of something we’ve experienced once that experience has come to an end. In the case of the believer, we await with great anticipation and profound elation the return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ when we will know as we are known (1 Corinthians 13). But in the time between our interactions with the Divine on this side of eternity and that time when we shall forever be with the Lord, there is much work to be done. The raison d’être behind Wisdom & Life’s Annual General Conference is to equip the saints to live a life of service as we do the work Christ requires of us – to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every tongue, tribe and nation.

The Great Commission isn’t just about laying hands on the sick and having them recover or doing ‘great works’… but when one becomes more intimately acquainted with Jesus Christ, we learn that His heartbeat is for souls…for people. As Annual General Conference 2023 unfolds, we encourage you to not only listen to the voice of Jesus Christ as He speaks through His vessels, but we also encourage you to take from this conference practical tools to help you accomplish the Lord’s work in your life. For the time is coming soon where Jesus will come back to collect what is His – what will you offer the King when He makes The Return?

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.” ~ Revelation 7: 9, 10

Grace and peace to you from our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It is our privilege to welcome you to our Annual General Conference 2023 under the theme “The Return”. The theme speaks to the essence of why Jesus Christ came and died; but once we understand why Jesus came and died, there is a responsibility to live as Christ and complete the work He left us to do. The Gospel message wasn’t given to us to be content in our own salvation, but to perpetuate to every nation, kindred, people and tongues – whosoever will.

In his letters, Paul admonished Timothy to hold fast to what he had been taught, because there would be grievous wolves attempting to discredit and alter the fundamental principles of this Great Commission before Christ’s return. It is our prayer that the resounding message you hear during this conference empower you with courage through the grace of Jesus Christ to contend for the faith and accept your share in the suffering like a good soldier. Let not this Gospel be synchronized with foreign elements, but transmit this transformational message to others as it has been delivered to you.

In so doing, you will be among the faithful who live to transfer this Gospel truth until the end and hear the Master say, “Well done”.
